A salon in Inverness paved the way for the British Hairdressing Awards, winning three major awards.
Ego Hair Design has won Home Hairstylist of the Year, Men’s Hairdresser of the Year and UK Artistic Team of the Year awards.
Owner Caroline Sanderson and stylist Barry Lachlan were named Scottish Hairstylist of the Year and British Men’s Hairdresser of the Year, while the salon’s creative team took home the British Artistic Team of the Year award. .
TV personality Rylan Clark presented his trophies to the team.
Judged anonymously by more than 100 top hairstylists, including celebrity stylists, session stylists, salon owners and previous award winners, the northern company has beaten off competition from some of the UK’s most successful businesses to win three trophies.
Ms Sanderson, who has just published her second book, Mindset Magic and Miracles, said: âI am very proud to bring these awards back to the Highlands of Scotland.
âTo be the first Scottish salon to win the UK Artistic Team of the Year in its history is an incredible achievement for the team and I am very proud of them. I teach my team to really believe in what they can accomplish and this is proof that the thoughtful work we do really pays off.
Mr Lachlan, who won the men’s hairstylist of the year award, said: âI never thought this would happen someday, I want to thank all the mentors I have had and in particular the ‘Ego Hair Design team for giving me this opportunity to fulfill a lifelong career dream.
Event organizer Jayne Lewis-Orr said: “These awards recognize top UK hairdressing talent, celebrating the passion, artistry and expertise of individuals from across the country.”
He added that the accolades demonstrated that Ego Hair Design has accomplished, talented stylists with impeccable attention to detail, insisting that the competition is getting tougher each time.
Inverness has the UK’s premier mindfulness fair
