National cellphone company Lava on Wednesday announced the launch of the 12.5-inch Helium 12 laptop, the widest-screen laptop to date. Weighing in at just 1.3kg, the Rs 12,999 Helium 12 marks a significant entry into LAVA’s laptop portfolio after the successful launch of Helium 14 a few months ago. “We understand the growing preference for a lightweight yet large screen laptop for our modern customers who largely represent the evolving mobile workforce,” said Gaurav Nigam, senior vice president and product manager, Lava International Ltd.
Helium 12 will be available on major e-commerce portals as well as multi-brand outlets in 14 cities. Helium 12 is powered by the Anniversary Edition of Windows 10 and comes with an Intel Quadcore processor, with a speed of up to 1.88 GHz. The laptop has a 10,000mAh battery for extended use. Helium 12 has a built-in 32 GB memory which is expandable up to 128 GB via an SD card and expandable with a 1 TB external hard drive. LAVA Helium 12 also comes with a 16: 9 aspect ratio, thus offering rich display functionality.
Helium 12 has a VGA rear camera and video call functionality.
